Intern (m/f/d) - Operational Value Creation

We are looking for a highly motivated intern or working student (part-time) to join a private equity environment with a strong operational value creation mandate. The role offers hands-on exposure to transforming portfolio companies, driving performance improvements, and working closely with senior leaders and management teams.

This role is intended as a full-time internship with a workload of approximately 35 hours per week for a minimum duration of three months.

• Strategy and governance workstreams are supported, including the preparation of board materials and related decision documents.
• Financial models are built and maintained to support strategic decisions, scenario analyses, and operational improvement initiatives.
• You assist in the identification, analysis, and implementation of value creation initiatives across portfolio companies.
• Organisational improvement efforts are supported, for example through process definition, performance optimisation, and reorganisation initiatives.
• You contribute to business plan reviews, budgeting processes, and ongoing performance tracking.
• Day-to-day workstreams are executed in close collaboration with value creation / investment professionals and portfolio company leadership teams.

• You are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s programme, ideally in business administration, economics, finance, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills combined with a solid understanding of financial and operational topics form a key part of your profile.
• A structured, reliable, and hands-on working style enables you to take ownership of tasks and drive them forward independently.
• You enjoy working in dynamic environments and feel comfortable interacting with senior and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Very good English skills are required, both written and spoken; additional languages, such as German, are considered a plus.
• A high level of motivation, intellectual curiosity, and an owner’s mindset distinguish the way you approach your work.
